Frequently asked questions
Food and Drink Policy
We do not provide food or drink for any of the children during the sessions. Drinks and snacks can be purchased from the office on the ground floor. We do advise parents to ensure their children have a water bottle with them which they can access whenever they need. We ask that children's names are on anything they bring to our sessions.
Is there parking?
Yes there is an on site car park. Richmond Hall car park is the closest one. It is paid parking with the following fees: Mon-Fri 9:30am - 6:00pm(maximum stay 3 hours)1 Hour - £0.402 Hours £0.803 Hours £1.50(Free outside these hours)Park in the car park and then walk through the gate on the left hand side through towards the park and Legacy XS is the building on the right hand side just as you entire the park.
What is your accessibility like?
We have a lift for persons who are mobility challenged to be able to get up to the hall on the first floor. In an emergency these lifts would still be in operation to being able to leave the building. We are fully accessible in our classes and adjust the content to fit everyone's needs. Please note those with mobility challenges may not be able to take part in the tightrope, stilt walking or unicycling sessions if they have difficulty walking however in these instances we would bring something separate for them to learn such as staff spinning so no one is left out. Will there be toilet breaks during sessions?
There is accessible toilets on the ground floor of the building. We do ask that children use the toilet before the start of the sessions, however if anyone does need the toilet during the sessions an instructor will take their group downstairs and stay in the hallway of the toilet area.
Are the instructors DBS checked?
Yes! All our instructors are DBS checked and we have insurance for our classes and instructors. Our instructors also have additional certification linked to their chosen professional skills. We also always have a first aid trained instructor and first aid box on site and our teachers are qualified circus professionals with experience and qualifications in teaching circus skills to children.
Health and Safety Information
We are insured through Rees Astley for our sessions and instructors. First aid training is refreshed annually and there is always a first aid trained instructor on site at all times. Our instructors are all DBS checked with annually updated certification. In the event of an emergency the fire safety point is out the front of the building towards the car park. Fire drills will be completed during each term for safety reasons. There are accessible lifts for those with mobility challenges. Our instructors will have parents contact information on hand at all times just in case anything is needed. This information is stored on our password protected portal and is not accessible to anyone outside of the instructors during sessions. There is a WhatsApp group for parents which will have photos of our sessions sent and any information about the sessions we need to feed back to parents and so we can be in contact with you at any point on that group.
